A Picture's Worth Like 10 million Words

I'm still processing the stuff I learned this past weekend. One thing I didn't know was this(and it absolutely blew my mind)God's children are HIS INHERITANCE. We are the thing God considers HIS reward. Isn't that amazing? Just too sweet to comprehend in one sitting, so give that some thought. Another thing I learned is that the inheritance (emotional stuff/patterns) I received from my parents, good and bad, does not have to belong to me if I don't want it to. I can have a garage sale with Jesus and get rid of the stuff I don't want to inherit. I have to forgive my folks, family for passing on unhealthy patterns, I have to identify the specific stuff I don't want, acknowledge it in my life, ask God to help me change what I have already confessed, and seek Him daily in the midst of life remembering those things He wants to change in me. I don't know if that is helpful info or not, but it helps me to get it in writing. So there. :) One pattern in particular was shown to me at the conference and so God and I are dialoguing about that. Maybe there is something in your life that He wants to change that you hadn't realized before...talk with Him about it. He is just so sweet. He wants our inheritance to our children(or those in our lives for those single gals) to be the good stuff. I'm all about that...aren't you? I know you are. Have a wonderful day!!! Love, Jackie Sue
p.s. For you caterpillar fans, I have LOTS of new Monarch caterpillars on my milkweeds...IAMSOEXCITED!!! Maybe I will get a chrysalis yet!

Good stuff Jackie! I think Jesus and I are going to do some discussion about this topic also. There are definately some inherited things in my life that I don't want to hang onto anymore. And being reminded that we don't have to carry it it very liberating! Take it Jesus!

Love,
Jaime

And my favorite pic if definately Eliana's spaghetti face with the princess tiara...priceless!

I was at the PJ party too (the one in regular clothes with my daughter and son). My oldest daughter is named Eliana! I loved the Hebrew meaning "my God has answered" it was so true for us when she was born! I've been stopping by everyone's SA posts but I loved the cute pictures of your family.

I'm trying to blog a lot now since I can't have my new friends thinking I'm a slacker!

OH my word your family is so stupid and ugly and I hate them. (: For serious--PRECIOUS!!

By the way, I'm totally coming to Deeper Still in Orlando. So at least we will have to see each other a year from now! (:

Also, tonight at church someone mentioned how God adopts all of us as His children...it brought me back to you and the roundtable discussion. That's deep stuff.

What a crew you have in those pics...it looks like a magazine spread...so I was too seeing some things brought to light after this weekend...for me it was the affirmation/affection part, I am really praying about that, it caught me a little off guard.

Jackie Sue,
I just looked at the Siesta Spotlight on Patty's blog and looked back at mine and I never had gone back and read all of the comments....neither had my daughter. We both feel terrible.
There are so many sweet comments and I would have loved to have met more of my Siestas.
I apologize for not ever writing back. Things got hectic just before traveling to SA and I would only check the Siesta Blog for the latest info.
There will just have to be another get-together for all of us in the very near future.
Be blessed,
Valerie
